Art by Dom

Most of my paintings are done in acrylic paint, mainly with a brush. When I started out, I painted a lot of half-faces, but then I became interested in photography to create my own backgrounds. All my photos are original creations, without Photoshop retouching. I create my backgrounds by integrating my characters.

I imagined Donald King, a character inspired by the concept of the “nouveau riche”: a man who rises from poverty to find himself in a world of opulence, luxury and selfishness. That's why we see him surrounded by money, cigars, Rolexes, champagne and women. Through my work, I try to convey a message, especially as I've been a bodyguard to billionaires for the past 20 years.

I started painting in 2017, when I spent most of the year on the road.

Over the course of my career, I've witnessed all kinds of fantasies, fantasies and crises of possession: yachts, villas, luxury cars worth millions of euros, not to mention the personalities and characters of these people. What has always struck me is that wealthy people never know whether their loved ones are with them for what they have or for what they are. But the one thing they can't buy is love, and for me, that's what matters most of all.

It's precisely for this reason that hearts appear everywhere in my paintings: to remind us of what's essential, and that's LOVE.

From there, I began carving wood and creating one-off pieces to add a 3D effect to my paintings. Attached is a video of my last two one-off pieces.

Today, I concentrate a lot on graphic art. I take my own photos, create my sets and scenes, then integrate my characters. I also redraw using my graphics tablet. On average, each work takes between 70 and 100 hours to complete.

If you're interested in some of my works, I can send them to you with frames. Please let me know which pieces appeal to you most. Depending on the work, I'll let you know the price.
